Advice From The Hair Shaman: Spokes in the Wheel Key to Healthy Life

Building healthy hair

Beautiful, healthy hair depends on more than just the products you use. Like the spokes of a wheel, many things work together.

Seasonal cutting is a spoke in the wheel

Seasonal cutting can help address hair loss and aid in growing and maintaining truly luxurious hair. Every spoke helps the hair and scalp to become thicker, stronger, and healthier.

Men: Cut hair every four to six weeks. The top of the head can be kept as short as possible, i.e. from one inch above the ears and above as short as possible, and from the tip of the ear below any length that is comfortable. This is due to the sebaceous glands(oil glands) that are very thin on the top of the head.

Women: Cutting hair can be done seasonally, once per season: Spring Equinox, Summer Solstice, Fall Equinox, and Winter Solstice. Use a blunt snip-cut technique when the hair is wet. Blunt cut the ends only, making sure the ends are as blunt and thick as possible.

Here are some of the other spokes in the wheel:

1. Use the 5 Elements Hair Care Products

Alternate each shampoo daily and do the same with our mist conditioners. Weekly, use Euro Organic Oil overnight and/or leave in all day. This is an age-old process and very effective for all types of hair.

2. Proper brushing of hair and scalp

We recommend using only Morrocco Method brushes. Daily use of the scalp massager is also a very good habit. We recommend using it in the shower after shampooing and then following through using it on the entire body for stimulation. You can keep one by the computer, desk, and the car for stressful driving conditions – any place one needs stimulation and relaxation. As we are all creatures of habit, it’s best to set good habits daily and then therein, automatically, so one does them daily and effectively.

Eat live food and produce live cells or eat dead food and produce dead cells. Hair and skin are pure protein, so the diet needs to contain live, healthy, protein-based foods.

4. Regular exercise

Any exercise to stimulate the blood and airflow is excellent, such as walking, yoga, chi-gong, tai-chi or simply going to the gym and joining an exercise class. Only thirty minutes per day can be beneficial.

5. Positive attitude

Not wasting energy on past history. Not dwelling on any past hair problems. Being very positive and direct in the here and now. Taking care of one’s daily habits.

These are the spokes of the wheel of hair and health happiness.  Now that you know, it’s time to get out there and ride!
